This notice covers bestvalladolid.org and its analytics. Each registration form should provide information specific to that activity.

Browsing, contact and members

You can browse public pages without an account. The server receives technical connection data, including your IP address and browser, to deliver pages, operate the service and diagnose incidents. This website and its external backups use Microsoft Azure in North Europe (Ireland).

If you email the association, we use the information you provide to answer your enquiry. Member accounts support the relationship with the association and editing permissions. The public directory displays the names, photographs, membership categories and roles of profiles set to visible. You can request correction or hiding by email; if you can access your profile, you can also change your visibility preference.

Contact and administrative information is retained for as long as necessary to handle the request, maintain the relationship with the association and meet applicable obligations. Records of past roles serve a documentary purpose separate from account access. The directory is not used to track members’ browsing.

Optional Umami analytics

Only if you accept analytics, we use our Umami installation at stats.bestvalladolid.org to count page visits and actions such as opening registration, viewing BEST Courses, opening the volunteering form or clicking a contact email. A registration click does not prove that registration was completed.

We send the public page path, language, project and, for clicks, the page area. We do not send names, email addresses, form contents, page titles, URL parameters, fragments, advertising identifiers or link destination addresses. Umami technically receives the request IP address and browser to process it and estimate device and location statistics; IP addresses are not stored in analytics tables. We do not enable personal identification, advertising or cross-site tracking.

Logged-in sessions, administration, previews, internal searches and test copies are excluded. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are respected. Declining analytics does not restrict browsing or registration.

Choice and retention

Your consent is the basis for optional analytics. You can accept, decline or withdraw it through “Analytics preferences” at the bottom of the page. Withdrawal stops new events, including on the currently open page, without affecting earlier processing.

We save only your choice and its expiry date in browser local storage for 180 days, without extending it on new visits. Umami does not set analytics cookies. WordPress login cookies are used when you sign in and are necessary for that function.

A daily task removes detailed analytics records older than 90 complete days. Daily page and action totals, without visitor or session identifiers, are retained for 13 months. Private Azure copies of those totals expire after 35 days. BEST Valladolid data is managed separately from other websites.

Services and external links

Statistics are hosted on our Azure infrastructure and access is restricted to authorised administration. We do not publish an open visitor dashboard. Google Forms, Instagram, FiBEST and BEST Courses open through external links; they may have different controllers and policies. We do not send information you enter on those services to Umami.

Your rights

Email valladolid@best-eu.org to request access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction or portability where applicable, or to withdraw consent. We may need proportionate identity checks to handle a request. Since we do not store a personal analytics identifier, we may be unable to link a statistic to you; we will not ask for additional data solely to identify you for that purpose.

You may also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
